In the spring of 2012, Bishop Carter launched an exciting new club, Remote Control (R/C) car racing. This was the first club of its kind in the North, if not all of Ontario. See the video and learn more.
We help to “give BAC” to our school and community through our annual campaigns, including our Thanksgiving canned food drive, Christmas gift basket campaign (in association with St. Vincent de Paul Society), and spring Thinkfast (in association with Development and Peace), We also fundraise for specific events as they come up, and help promote volunteerism and environmental stewardship.

At Bishop Alexander Carter we have a very active and involved Student Council. Members of the Student Council represent all grade levels and assist in school related functions such as school wide assemblies, liturgies and special event days.
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving is a group of students within the school who work hard with their peers to communicate the importance of not drinking and driving.
Students for Diversity
Students for Diversity helps to promote equality and respect for all students in the school, regardless of gender, age, language, dis/ability, colour, ethnicity, and/or sexual orientation. We try to provide opportunities for everyone to have a voice and to participate, following the teachings of Jesus’ “preferential option for the poor”.
Four times throughout the school year, students aged 17 yrs of age and older have the opportunity to truly “give” of themselves by donating blood to save lives! Parents and guardians can help too, by joining us on those days (watch the calendar for details), or if you already give blood, consider donating as part of the BACCSS “Partners for Life” program. To sign up, go to http://www.Blood.ca/JoinPartnersforLife. Our partner ID # is BISH005874

BAC is very proud of the courtyard that was designed and constructed by our students inconjunction with the financial assistance from the SpeakUp program. BAC teacher, Lori Roy worked with students to submit a proposal to the Ministry in order to convert the area from a mound of dirt to the wonderful, bright and appealing area it is today.
The Sudbury Catholic District School Board’s Getting Connected Initiative has facilitated the implementation of wireless access into the Bishop Alexander Carter C.S.S. building.
