Students are reminded that there are three criteria that they must meet in order to qualify for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Those criteria include the successful completion of 30 credits (of which 18 are compulsory), the successful completion of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) and the completion of 40 hours of community service. Students are encouraged to complete their 40 hours of community service in their junior years.

Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in Heaven" (Matthew 5:43-45). With our theme of the month focused on 'justice', on Remembrance Day we will pause to remember those who served our country and to remember those who have died in war. As a community, we have an opportunity to pray together for peace and for justice. We can stop and consider what we are doing as individuals, as a community, and as a nation to bring God's peace to the world. We are called to action to work for the ideals of peace that Jesus taught to us. God bless. Jen Geddes, Chaplaincy Lead
